Full Circle Mentoring

Our core focus is to build sustainable art programs. We collaborate with local staff and volunteers, including government stakeholders and non-governmental agencies, and utilize existing community infrastructure to ensure program success AND long-term sustainability.
Full circle mentoring engages local community members and offers many benefits:

+ Mentoring improves communication and builds stronger relationships and trust within the community - this helps ensure project success.

+ Mentoring results in a more complete understanding of community values - volunteers gain a greater understanding of the cultural landscape.

+ Local volunteers learn valuable leadership skills that are useful to the community and to project continuity.

+ Gaining the participation and trust of children requires gaining the trust of community leaders, mentoring helps to achieve this.

+ Family members are more supportive of their children's participation when local staff are seen as project participants.
