Help Artists Without Borders bring art to children who need it most
We work with youth in communities where access to an arts education is limited. We bring teams of experienced artists and art therapists and implement an integrated arts curriculum that is sustainable and long lasting. We mentor local staff to ensure success and continuity. We partner with international youth charities in areas where our work can support ongoing aide projects.
Our mission is to offer children arts-based experiential learning opportunities that will help build a sense of wellbeing, confidence, and hope. These experiences are desperately needed, especially in third world areas suffering from poverty, conflict, and climate change.
Our teams implement curriculums that integrate a variety of art disciplines:

+ craft activities
+ dance
+ yoga
+ music
Mentoring local staff is an important program focus. We want to ensure program continuity. Although temporary programs can provide benefit, meaningful change can only happen when communities learn the skills to facilitate permanent art programs.
We provide an opportunity for artists to foster children through a virtual sponsoring arrangement. This program is suitable for artists who want to help but are unable to volunteer in the field.
We build bridges that connect our programs with art programs worldwide. This fosters friendship and enhances understanding between children living in developing and developed regions. By sharing their creative ideas, children will learn universal themes that transcend culture, race, and political boundaries. Empathy is the parent of peace.
Our vision is to build a lasting organization by supporting the efforts of volunteer artists who are dedicated to sharing their knowledge, passion, skill, and energy with children. Many volunteers search for such opportunities, but where do they begin and how can they manage the complex details? That is why Artists Without Borders exists, to find communities in need, plan projects, develop sustainable curriculums, and match these opportunities with volunteer artists.
The organization is a community platform where artists can exchange ideas to innovate future programs. The effectiveness of the organization is ultimately the result of collaboration and chemistry, and the rewards are shared by not only the children but also the artists themselves - this is an organization where many can achieve the unimagined.
